History UnErased Receives Fourth Year of Allocation Awards from the New York City Council Committee on Education

Beginning in 2017, History UnErased has received annual allocation awards from the New York City Council Committee on Education, championed by Council Member Daniel Dromm, to provide the New York City Department of Education with LGBTQ-inclusive social studies curriculum, reaching all 927 middle schools and high schools.

In 2020, History UnErased delivered virtual Professional Development Institutes on the implementation of LGBTQ-inclusive academic content for New York City educators, administrators, and school staff.

The allocation awards for fiscal year 2021 were approved in June 2020, with the funding dedicated to a continuation of the virtual Institutes.
